[Drama Review] First Impression on “Goblin”
KMazing – Goblin is a Korean drama in 2016 that adopted Fantasy and Romance genre. Was aired on tvN and directed by Lee Eung-Bok PD. The storyline was written by Kim Eun-Sook who has written many famous dramas such as Descendant of The Sun, and Secret garden. The drama cast several well known such as Gong Yoo who play the role of The Goblin aka Kim Shin, Lee Dong Wook as Wang Yeo or mostly known The Grim Reaper, Kim Go Eun as Ji Eun Tak and Yoo In Na as Kim Sun / Sunny. Goblin premiered on December 2, 2016 on tvN channel, aired every Friday and Saturday at 20:00 (KST) every week.
“Goblin” revolves around the fantasy romance between Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), a goblin character who is also a guardian of the soul of Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun), a high school student who has to endure painful reality life but choose to remains optimistic.
Kim Shin lives together with an amnesiac-conscience angel named Wang Yeo (Lee Dong Wook) who is in charge of taking the souls of the dead. They both see death to life after death. Ji Eun Tak who in her difficult time remains optimistic then meet the goblin and end up falling in love [maybe, most probably]. Meanwhile, Kim Sun (Yoo In Na) is a chicken shop owner. She is a cheerful and attractive girl that all men love.
Our Temp Opinion
We know this series is a huge thing, and probably you guys doesn’t even need our impression on this fantastic, sensational series, but for other people who doesn’t really follow K-Drama might find this useful. This drama have fantastic story-line, at least for the first two episode, the cinematography is exceptional. The way they took scene by scene is movie-grade quality. It’s enchanting and addicted. For those who hesitate to start watching this series, we recommend to get rid of your intention in delaying to watch this.
